Master customs declarations, procedures and rules of origin. Learn how to provide data and calculate customs value through practical cases.
Customs formalities are becoming increasingly complex, especially with digital systems evolving rapidly. Errors or incomplete data not only lead to delays, but can also result in extra customs duties or unnecessary fines.
Whether you prepare customs documents yourself or work with an external representative, one thing is essential: you must know which information must be provided correctly, completely, and on time. This training brings you fully up to speed: practical, concrete, and without unnecessary theory.
What will you learn during this training?
After this training, you will be able to:
- Translate customs operations (fiscal and non-fiscal) into your own import and export processes.
- Apply key customs concepts correctly within your own work context, including Union status, customs destinations, and the REX system.
- Identify and complete essential data elements for error-free electronic declarations. You will learn where to source information (invoices, contracts, transport documents) and how to translate it correctly into the declaration.
- Determine the impact of Incoterms® 2020 on your administrative responsibilities.
- Calculate customs value correctly using the transaction value method, gaining clear insight into which costs (transport, commission, packaging) to include.
- Classify commodity codes accurately. You will learn to classify products using HS codes or TARIC to prevent errors in duties, licenses, and statistics.
- Work through realistic cases independently, from determining the correct commodity code to origin and destination.
