Are you involved in the transport of dangerous goods? In the port of Antwerp, the handling of dangerous goods is subject to all kinds of legislation. Handling includes various operations: supply, discharge, loading, transhipment, ineterim storage and retaining on board. It is important that dangerous goods can be located in the port at any time.

The IMO aims to reduce the number of violations found during inspections of dangerous goods containers. The organization hence stipulates in the IMDG code that everyone involved in the transport of dangerous goods needs to be appropriately trained. This measure will also drastically reduce the risk of fires on board, environmental disasters, and danger to people at sea and on shore.

Requirements

There is no special knowledge required. However you must be able to present a valid IMDG-certificate obtained from an accredited provider.
